Shared Care Support
A shared care model is extra supportive and informative, leaving everyone involved feeling confident. Essentially, shared care means you get two doulas for the price of one. You’re getting extra expertise, extra coverage and extra hands, every step of the way.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your unique needs – or to set up a time to get to know each other and learn more about the options of shared care and how it can best serve you.
How is shared care beneficial?
We both have expertise in a variety of complimentary prenatal, birth and postnatal areas, each with our own strengths. You’ll get access to all of it!
As we’re both there, every step of the way, you will be familiar and comfortable with whichever doula attends your birth. You can feel extra confident that you’re in great hands.
We’re both there during prenatal sessions and one of your postnatal visits. That means more hands on support, for you, your family and baby!
What does shared care look like?
Both doulas at our first meet and greet.
Both doulas at your prenatal visits.
One week on and one week off, on call care. We will provide you with the dates.
Group text messaging, so everyone stays in the loop.
One doula at your birth.
Option to have both doulas at your birth, for an additional fee.
One doula at your first postnatal visit, and both doulas at your second visit.
All the benefits of standard care, including information packs, usage of the TENS machine and rebozo, and more.
I take on a limited number of birth doula clients each month so as to be able to fully serve each one. It’s never too early in pregnancy to sign-on – it’ll ensure you don’t miss out on a spot, and that you get the most out of your prenatal support!
Reduced rates on private prenatal yoga sessions are available to all birth doula clients. I also offer payment plans upon request. Please feel free to reach out for more information, or to book a time to chat.
"Kate is a gift. She not only made the experience leading up to the birth educating and empowering, she also acted as our life line throughout the entire experience of our birth. 30 hours plus she was by our side! I don't know if we would have been able to get through it without her. She was instrumental in keeping us calm, focused and comfortable.
If you're considering having a doula you should choose Kate. Couldn't have asked for a better doula to bring our little gal into this world!"
