Join Jess Lemon and Kate Sissons on an intimate retreat that will explore the link between creativity, conscious movement and healing. On this weekend exploration of breath and movement we will endeavour to break through old stumbling blocks of rigidity and control and find a wider, more supportive container for creative expression, compassion and connection.

Nirvana retreat facility is situated on acres of gorgeous land just 1 hour outside of Toronto in Caledon, Ontario.  Its rustic charm is perfect for unplugging from the daily grind and tapping into nature’s healing.  

Savour delicious vegetarian/vegan meals prepared on site, enjoy long walks and swims, with ample time to rest, read a book, or simply hang out.

This retreat will feature daily meditation and movement classes (Pilates, Yang/Yin, Hatha, Restorative and Flow), with special workshops on offer that will invite deeper reflection and journaling.

About Your Instructors

Jessica Lemon

Jess Lemon has been teaching for 14 years.  Passionate about learning and committed to continued education, Jess has taken over 2,000 hours in a variety of movement styles and methods, including Moksha, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin Yoga + Pilates and resistance training.  She also teaches Mindfulness and Meditation which she has studied extensively over the years.

Jess believes that true learning happens when a person is seen and met where they are, then nurtured and encouraged on their own journey of self-discovery.  She is a creative and intuitive teacher, believing that when we are truly open and attuned to each moment, life is always offering wisdom.

She currently lives in Toronto but travels frequently for adventure and teaching opportunities.  She has an Honour’s Bachelor’s of Arts degree in French Language and Literature from the University of Toronto and though her last name is Lemon, she is actually pretty sweet.

Kate Sissons

Kate has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 15 years. Her practice and learning has led her through a wide variety of yogic styles - from Astanaga, Vinayasa, Sivanada, Restorative and even Acroyoga, she's done it all. 

As well as being a yoga teacher, Kate is also a certified Birth and Postpartum doula, a certified teacher (kindergarten was her favourite!), and has a black belt in karate.

Kate's teaching style is encouraging and enriching. She has a gift for reading the people she works with - her words and hands on assists, will nourish and take you to the exact place you need to be.

Kate has travelled across the globe, to study, live and explore. After living in London, England for 7 years Kate is now settled in east Toronto with her 3.5 year old twins and partner. Her dream is to  travel the world for a year with her family.
