Birth Doula Support

There’s no doubt about it: your birthing day is a pivotal moment that you’ll carry with you the rest of your life. (No pressure, right?) The truth is, birth and parenthood can seem daunting. As a certified birth doula, I offer comfort, support and information when you need it, helping make this pivotal experience a positive one for you, your partner, and your family.

All of my birth doula packages include full attendance at your birth, on-call care throughout your entire pregnancy, and postpartum care to put you in the very best position for a positive birth and postpartum experience.

You also get the extra benefit of a shared care model, meaning that you get the expert support and insight from myself and a doula from my team.

My standard packages are below – and I am also happy to customize to suit your needs if you’re looking for something slightly different. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your unique needs – or to set up a time to get to know each other and learn more about the options.

“Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life." -Ina May Gaskin

Happy Couple Twins doula Toronto.jpg

Encourage A Positive Experience

Pregnancy and birth always holds the unexpected. But unexpected experiences are often beautiful, magical and way beyond what we could have ever imagined.  Whatever direction your pregnancy or birth moves towards, having the continuous, committed support of a doula will allow you to feel empowered and in control of your experience.

Offer Reassurance & Calm

It's guaranteed that you will have lots of questions about your pregnancy, birth and your new baby. Can I drink red raspberry leaf tea? How do I avoid tearing? Does this baby poo look okay? (FYI you will become obsessed with your baby's poo!)  A birth and postpartum doula will help you navigate the ups and downs of all of these stages, offering hands on support to make sure you are relaxed and at ease.

"Kate the great! It's cheesy but true.

Kate impressed me right away because I could see she was super organised. She also had an immense toolkit to manage pain and calm emotions. Hiring her was a no-brainer (although I admit I had some sticker shock -- more on this later).

My second labour ended up being more challenging than the first (epidural failed, baby was stuck, etc.), but it felt better and  more peaceful thanks to Kate's presence. Nothing about it felt traumatic.

I cannot recommend Kate enough.

Don't believe my review? My husband was skeptical prior to meeting Kate. "I don't think she'll be able to offer much more than a midwife", he said. After meeting her, he was surprised and impressed by her knowledge and toolkit. After labour, he agreed with me that she was worth every penny.”
